Hobro, 1st of July 2009 - This year, Roskilde Festival focuses greatly on the climate, among other things by locally generating power. At the festivals City Centre West a black "power box" generates green energy for sound and light in the "Climate Shout Out" tent. The power box is a container with wind turbines, solar panels, fuel cells, and power electronics. Drop by and see the power box and it’s fascinating contents(!) at Roskilde Festival.

Excess renewable energy (as from wind turbines and solar panels) can be stored as hydrogen (H2). Dantherm Power develops and sells fuel cell systems. Based on hydrogen our fuel cell systems efficiently provide supplemental power to the wind turbines and solar panels for instance in the night.

"We are happy to see the awareness of energy, climate and environment is very high in one of the greatest cultural events in Denmark", says Mr. Per Albæk, CEO for Dantherm Power. "Not only functional and short term economical issues but also environmental aspects are to be considered when generating and using energy. Our products provide energy that has been stored in time in the form of hydrogen and as one of the world’s leading suppliers of fuel cell based backup power systems we are proud to partner with Roskilde Festival in their substantial environmental efforts".
